Dr Kate Bruce-Laryea (General Practitioner)
MB ChB, DCH (SYD), FRACGP
Dr Bruce-Laryea has worked in general practice since 2006. She obtained her fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2008. Before that, she worked in various hospitals including Box Hill Hospital, Angliss Hospital, Peter James Centre and Korle-bu Teaching Hospital in Accra Ghana. She has a Diploma in Paediatrics and is an Antenatal Shared Care Affiliate with Eastern Health and Monash Health.
Kate has interests in Women’s Health, Child Health and Mental health. She also has an interest in Chronic Disease Management and aged care. She has worked with many patients with Depression, Anxiety and Stress. Kate loves reading and spending time with her family.
Dr Joanne Chew (General Practitioner)
MBBS, FRACGP, Dip (Child Health)
Jo completed her GP training in rural Victoria receiving her fellowship in 2019. She has previous experience working in public hospitals in Western Australia and Victoria. She has previous experience working in public hospitals in Western Australia and Victoria. Jo’s interests are paediatrics, aged care, palliative care, and preventative health
Outside of work, Jo loves going for long walks and reading about natural history
Dr Emma Broughton (GP Registrar)
BSc MD
Emma graduated in 2022 and completed her first two years of clinical practice at Western Health, primarily at Sunshine and Footscray hospitals. During this time, she gained broad experience through rotations in general medicine, emergency medicine, general surgery, psychiatry, acute aged care, and adult rehabilitation medicine. In 2025, she further developed her skills by completing a year of paediatric medicine at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Emma has a strong interest in children’s health and enjoys building rapport with both children and their families. She also looks forward to caring for patients across all stages of life. Outside of work, Emma is a busy mother to two cheeky children aged three and five. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and spending time at the beach.
Dr Krishna Sanjayan (GP Registrar)
MBBS/MD
Dr Krishna graduated in 2021 and has experience in Emergency medicine and ICU.
He takes pride in creating a safe and trusting environment for patients, where they feel heard and cared for.
Available: Mondays half day, Tuesdays to Fridays 8.45am to 5pm
